I write about cinema, filmmaking, travel and history… and the occasional whimsical piece about my own life. For the Wellcome Collection’s online publication I explored the parallels between 19th century cholera deniers and Covid sceptics, and got gloriously mucky learning wilderness survival skills in a travel feature for TNT magazine.

I am currently mining both my teenage years and family history for several in depth non-fiction projects, including an investigation into some mysterious rings my grandfather brought back from Italy in WWII.
